Wildlife population estimation

Imphal, March 23 2018: Wildlife Wing, Forest Department, Government of Manipur is conducting Wildlife Population Estimation, 2018 at Keibul Lamjao National Park, Laiphum Phumlak and Yawa Lamjao. This exercise is conducted in participation of research scholars, students, NGOs and wildlife enthusiasts from various institutes/organisations. The main objective of the exercise is to find out the population trends of wild animals (ungulates) in the areas. The census days are scheduled on March 22, 24 and 26 for Keibul Lamjao National Park, March 27 for Laiphum Phumlak and March 28 for Yawa Lamjao.
