Thoubal, November 05 2021: A team of Forest Department led by Deputy Ranger Md Aslam under the supervision of Range Forest Thoubal RO, S Samungou on Thursday carried out a drive against illegal poaching of migratory birds at Kharung Pat and Ikop Pat.

Speaking on the occasion, Md Aslam highlighted the effects of poaching migratory birds to the environment and appealed to the people to stop illegal poaching of migratory birds that have started visiting the state with the onset of winter.

He also mentioned that similar drives would be conducted in other areas of Thoubal district and cautioned that legal actions would be taken up against anyone found trapping the birds.
